The desire to build a business based on strong values has always driven Liv and Aaron Katin. And this week, the husband-wife team have achieved just that – launching Katin Property in partnership with UrbanX.
In expressing their motivation, Liv and Aaron explain. “The thought of owning and running our own family business has always been appealing to us for many years prior to our real estate careers…allowing us the opportunity to build an entity around our values as well as make decisions on the direction of the business based on what, we believe, will most benefit our clients.”
Capitalising on their outstanding sales performance over 7 years in East Fremantle, Bicton, and Attadale, the pair identified untapped potential for further career growth with their own brand. A brand that will be known for “empowering people through property” with a focus on creating strong lasting relationships and providing an exceptional service to their clients.
Looking inwards, like many other agents, the traditional agency model fell short for the Katin’s.
“Although we are grateful to have worked within other successful businesses amongst quality individuals and professionals, we felt that the traditional agency model can be limiting and the next step for us was to open our own agency rather than continue to promote someone else’s business and brand.”
In a strategic move to solidify their position in the market, the Katin’s chose to partner with UrbanX. This was driven by an appreciation for the unique business model, which allows them to have creative control and ownership over their own brand but have the back-end administration support all agents need.
Working with the UrbanX design team, the couple have developed a distinctive branding strategy that sets them apart. Liv and Aaron share, “Our branding is clean, slick, elegant, and innovative, ensuring the property is the highlight.”
