The UrbanX yearly reflection: You’ll like what you see…

Another year down and the UrbanX network numbers are up (again!). The past 12 months wasn’t without its challenges – thanks largely to multiple rate rises, inflation, and the uncertainty that follows these conditions. 

 

And it’s in these moments that our network thrives. We all know that selling in a boom market makes real estate look easy but when things get tougher the cream rises to the top. Our true expertise, grit, and focus really shines when things don’t come as easily. Boy, did we shine. 

 

Thanks to our agent partner network of high performing agents, and the backing of our expert UrbanX support teams, we’ve had another year to be proud of. Let’s take a look.

 

2023 Key Statistics. 

 

Network sales growth – 30% increase on 2022.

The UrbanX network achieved over $3B (yes, with a B!!) in property sold. That’s up significantly by 33% from 2022. Adding to this growth was volume matched with a higher than average sale price of $956,000, which is $31,000 higher than the national average.

 

 

We also saw a 30% increase in listings (4,364 properties – that’s close to 40 listings per agent). Properties saw an average of 42 days on market and a list to sell ratio of 73.4% – an amazing achievement given the tougher selling conditions that 2023 posed. 

Agencies who partner with UrbanX also benefited with a higher comms split. So, while we grew as a network, individuals were the main beneficiaries of their hard work (the way it should be). 

 

Beyond the numbers.

 

While these numbers are impressive and a great snapshot of our group’s performance it doesn’t show the type of network we’re building; where we really stand out. Our people and our culture. 

 

If I reflect back to when we launched UrbanX in 2020, I’m blown away with how our vision is now a reality. We set out to change the game and stack the chips in favour of the agent. We went all in. And we’re starting to see the bet pay off. 

 

Our mission is to empower top agents to create life-changing businesses, so they can unleash their full potential.

 

For us, a top-performing agent is in the top 20% of the industry, consistently doing $250k+ GCI but they also need to be a top person. Someone who is driven to succeed, who wants more from life, and does so through constant improvement and respect. I’m proud to say we now have over 100 of these people, just like you, driving our growth. 

 

As we move into 2024 we will continue to attract top performing agents. We’re not for everyone, and not everyone makes the cut at UrbanX. That’s a good thing for everyone. To continue to be Australia’s largest network of high performing independent agents we will continue to ensure we’re surrounded by the best so we can learn from each other and live the life we all deserve.
