After years of dreaming and months of planning, Brent is bringing a hands-on, client-centered approach to real estate. Brent’s journey into real estate is unique. Before becoming an agent, he worked in management within the banking and insurance sector across New Zealand and Australia, where he got his first taste of property. “In my previous career, the ability to assist people buying property during the home lending process really sparked my interest in entering the world of real estate,” Brent explains.

Since starting out in South Africa in 2021, Brent has brought his experience and passion back home, where he has been an agent in the Northern Gold Coast for the last three years.

For Brent, the most rewarding part of being an agent is witnessing the life-changing decisions that clients make. “The service my team and I strive to provide allows us to make these mega decisions a bit easier to navigate, and the feedback from the majority of my clients is that we are with them through every step of the way,” he says.

Launching his own agency was a natural next step for Brent, who wanted to build something of his own. “I wanted the business to be 100% mine and to build a legacy for my family,” he explains. “Not to ensure that my children become agents, but to show them that you can build an extraordinary business through grit and passion.”

One of the biggest challenges for Brent has been building consistency in a competitive field. “As a team, we want to be regarded as a high-performing agency and provide healthy competition. It’s hard, and we work relentlessly through every part of the sales cycle to ensure we meet our challenges head-on,” he says.

The partnership with UrbanX has been key in helping Brent realise his dream. “Dan (CEO of UrbanX) convinced me after reaching out to me personally, and I had a small push off the cliff from my wife,” Brent admits. “Outside of that, I truly believe that it was time.”

Reflecting on his experience with UrbanX so far, Brent describes it as “exceptional,” with his team feeling as though they “belong to an extended support function, and every representative I have encountered wants to help.”

One of the cornerstones of Siebritz Real Estate is Brent’s commitment to what he calls the “Human Element.” He explains, “I am a huge advocate for providing impeccable service to my clients always. My team and I strive to maintain our service standard and ensure that we are working in the best interest of our clients at all times.” Brent understands that relationships in real estate are not purely transactional; they are the foundation of his approach. “A tenant we encounter could be a buyer, a buyer could be a future seller, and a seller could buy and sell with me again,” he says.

Looking ahead, Brent is excited about the future of Siebritz Real Estate and the opportunity to watch his team grow and achieve their own goals. “I want to see my existing team grow and develop and become their own agents,” he shares. “I have large goals that I want to achieve and see my dream of becoming a principal be achieved as well.”

For agents considering the path to business ownership, Brent offers advice from experience: “Ask yourself—what is it that I want for my career? And then base your decision on that. Any choice you make is not going to be easy, and it will be filled with consequences and magnificent outcomes!”
